Role Summary:

As a General Ledger Supervisor - Fixed asset in our BSC (Business Service Center) in Budapest/Debrecen you lead the team of appr. 10 accountants that is responsible for the fixed asset accounting, month-end closing and account reconciliations under US-GAAP. In addition to that, along with the transition team, you ensure the transitioning of fixed asset responsibilities from US or EU sites into the BSC environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements: You'll be involved in the following tasks:

  • You guide your team with sites regarding their fixed assets in SAP.

  • Support internal and external audits.

  • Responsible for balancing team workload and ensuring month-end deadlines and other KPI targets are met for the team.

  • Help develop an environment and culture that supports the attraction and retention of quality talent.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls for the centers operations.

  • Build a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Work cross functionally to ensure end-to-end processes work within the assigned region or sites.

  • Maintain a good relationship with site leadership to ensure a healthy service level.

What do you need for this job:

  • BA Degree in accounting required, MA Degree a plus Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent preferred

  • 5+ years' experience is required, (2+ years in a Shared Service center)

  • Demonstrated experience in Fixed Asset accounting

  • US GAAP knowledge required.

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop people.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills in English.

  • Strong bias for action and ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues.

  • You are open to travel 10% annually;

  • Are a natural at building positive relationships;

  • Have strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills;

  • Have keen attention to detail;

  • Are flexible and able to cope with process changes.
