Your future job:
As a product engineer, you develop and design our products on mechanical and hydraulic aspects to meet the market requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities include providing basic designs to business units in line with customer specifications, national and international standards and internal procedures. Your work is as well order related product engineering work as quotation related work consisting of customer specification review and the implementation of clear project definitions.
Together with your colleagues, you plan the work to complete issue of engineering documents for customers and internal use. You are a key technical specialist for the product lines complementary to design authority sites. Furthermore, you assist in providing solutions on customer claims in close cooperation with product managers and the lead engineers from the sites. Your objective is to 'design to value'– which is why this role is called a ‘design to value’ engineer.
In addition, you:
Support all product engineering activities related to the Design to Value
Develop Detailed Design of all components and parts for selected configurations.
Perform design activities to obtain cost-effectiveness between quality, design and manufacturing in accordance with engineering design standards;
Provide accurate and informative reports to management and evaluate the results of project assignments along with appropriate recommended course of action;
Participate in root cause analysis in order to define corrective a preventive action, and define areas for standardization;
Prepare and attend definition meetings

You are our ideal colleague if you…
Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering;
Have up to one year of relevant experience;
Have knowledge of the petrochemical industry;
Are fluent in English
Possess extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, SolidWorks and ERP systems (a plus);
Have a basic understanding of value engineering (advantage).
