An entry-level Mechanic in a pump service center is responsible for disassembly, repair and assembly of pumps and decoking equipment. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager at our pump repair Quick Response Center (QRC) located just outside of Greenville, SC.

This position is for 1 st shift (Monday thru Friday), plus overtime on same shift as required. The facility has been in Greer for approximately 40 years (25 minutes outside of Greenville).
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Disassemble, clean, balance, test, and re-assemble engineered and industrial pump products in a rapid-response, "quick ship" environment
Inspect pumps and components by using inside, outside, and depth micrometers to measure critical dimensions and runouts
Read and accurately follow all work instructions, checklists, and engineering drawings or blueprints during all processes
Act in a way that that encourages collaboration, teambuilding, decision-making, problem solving, and continuous improvements
Following instructions given in pre-job briefings and completing DCI and assembly checklists, routers and procedures
Taking pictures to document condition and process
Communicating clearly and professionally with production planners and customers to discuss the component and pump conditions
Other duties and tasks as directed
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of mechanical experience (automotive mechanic, etc.)
Must have personal set of mechanic’s tools, and roll-around tool box
Able to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work overtime hours including weekends and holidays.
